Alan secures drives with Synchro Motorsport

British Touring Car and SEAT Cupra race winner, Alan Blencowe, is set to race within the 2008 Britcar Production S1 Championship after signing a deal with Synchro Motorsport to race a 2007 spec Honda Civic Type-R.

"I’m really looking forward to racing with Synchro and racing a Honda Civic again. I raced against Synchro’s Honda when driving for Barwell Motorsport in 2003 and finished 2nd in the Drivers Championship, so I know they put a good car together"

"The team has a really strong working knowledge of the car, and their development really is impressive."

The race car is still under going development and the team are soon to have their first shake-down of the car, before commencing their 2008 pre-season testing.

The official unveiling of the racecar will be at the EERC Media Day on 28 February 2008, Silverstone, which will provide Alan and the team with an opportunity to measure them-selves against the opposition.

Synchro Motorsport are based at Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (HUM) in Swindon, and are a team made up of HUM Associates, all dedicated to engineering and developing a race car to be at the top of their game.
